Lion and Elephants and Zebras, oh my!

The absolutely adorable Safari Animals stamp set always makes me smile. I still can't decide which of the three -- Lion, Elephant, or Zebra -- is my favorite. Daughter Maddie likes the Zebra the best. After making this card, I kind of want to go on an exotic vacation. Spring Daisy Card

We have been loving the sunshine here in Western Washington the past few days! Signs of spring around our house include the kids getting to play outside more often, breaking out the capri's and sandals, and the hubby mowing the lawn again! My four-year-old Maddie has been sportin' her princess sunglasses, and baby Jolee is no longer forced to wear fleecy jammies at night. Bright days call for bright spring cards, and here is a great card to show how we're all feeling over here!

Party On! Embellish Party Color Challenge

Hi all! What a rich and elegant color scheme for this Embellish Color Challenge (sponsored by who else? DeNami Design!). If you visit the DeNami blog right now, you'll see a trend on the cards submitted by our design team for this challenge. Though completely not intentional, Paulina, Laurie, and I all used similar stamps for this color challenge! We laughed when they all got turned in. Apparently, we were channeling each other subconsciously! Just another way to show the great taste of the DeNami Design team (of course, I'm just saying that because clearly they agree with my design sensibilities!) 

We've all been sick at our house this week, one at a time. With two little ones under five, our household pretty much comes to a screeching halt during illness. It's a miracle I got any stamping done, let alone housework (you can see where my priorities lie!). Maddie is the last one to succumb, so I am giving her lots of love and comfort right now. It's one of the less fun parts of mommyhood, but can also be one of the more fulfilling.

These classic colors are right up my alley, and I absolutely love the Ruby Red glitter. It reminds of Dorothy's ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz. Oh, and the shiny red button. It's like candy and jewelry all in one.

Lollipops and Buttons

I dare you not to sing the "Lollipop, Lollipop" song after stamping with DeNami Design's lollipop stamp (part of a set of three candy-themed stamps). I originally pulled this stamp out for 4-year-old Maddie (avid lover of real lollipops) to use during one of our Mommy & Me moments. While she was busy coloring, I was busy playing around with my new favorite accessory: buttons! They're like stamp candy! (Maddie is also a HUGE fan. Her eyes get big and she says a breathless "ooooh" whenever I pull them out.)
These are quick and easy cards but it was fun to use bright, yummy colors while I stamped with my little helper.
